Launched in May 2023, All Things in Moderation is the annual global gathering for humans who moderate social media, online communities, and other digital social spaces.
Running over 2 days online, it brings together practitioners, researchers, policy-makers and all those who care about building safe and thriving digital spaces for learning, knowledge sharing and professional development.

Yarns
ACM Yarns are regular fireside chats where we spend an hour with great people doing great things in the community management space. These are fun, intimate and a great way to break up your day with a cup of tea.
Masterclasses
ACM runs occasional Masterclasses with experts on specific community topics, such as social networking analysis, community operations, community strategy, governance and more. These are usually online and run between 1-3 hours.
Special Events
ACM hosts special events for members and the general public on timely or featured topics, such as our annual State of Community Management Report, or key regulatory updates.
Swarm Conference
From 2011 to 2022, Swarm was Australia’s national community management conference and ACM’s flagship gathering. Thousands of community managers from Australia and around the world came together at Swarm in Sydney and Melbourne (alternating each year) for over a decade, to share their practice and shape a profession that was still finding its feet.
As one of the first conferences anywhere dedicated to community management, Swarm set the agenda for much of what the field now takes for granted. Swarm was also one of the first professional community events to collaborate with researchers, hosting a parallel academic symposium.
ACM retired Swarm in 2022 and its legacy lives on in a stronger, more connected profession and the work we do today.
